In a video that was released on August 5 by the Hillsboroug County police in Florida, United States where a 19-year-old young man named Jonah Delgado in charge of caring for the elderly, begins to attack a grandfather who is in a chair on wheels and unable to fend for himself, caused much outrage.
In the images of the recording, it can be seen how the young man, who was already arrested by the police and processed, helps the 88-year-old adult to lie down in bed but once the grandfather is seated he begins to beat him in the stomach, slapping him and even kicking him.
The case generated much criticism of the young man who attacked the grandfather but at the same time it outraged many people who have known various cases in which caregivers of the elderly attack them with brutal physical and psychological force. According to the World Health Organization, in the last year at least 1 in 6 people over 60 years of age have suffered abuse.
