In a video that he shared on his social networks, Eduardo Capetillo thanked his fans that Marimar continues to be in the public’s taste 27 years after its premiere.

A few decades ago Eduardo Capetillo was one of the favorite soap opera leading men who gradually gained the admiration and love of the public, who now, despite the passage of time, continues to be remembered as if it were yesterday. That is why he has not hesitated to thank all the support of his fans with a video on his Instagram account.

One of the characters that marked his successful artistic career was that of Sergio Santibañez, who played alongside Thalía in the melodrama " Marimar ". This love story hit Mexican screens in 1994. Now, more than two decades after that event, Eduardo Capetillo is grateful for Marimar’s success, remembers Thalía and makes Biby Gaytán jealous.

Biby Gaytán’s husband gave life to a young millionaire who fell in love with Marimar, the character played by Thalía, a naive girl with a noble heart who went through quite unpleasant situations on the part of Sergio’s family.

Twenty-seven years after its premiere, this telenovela continues to be broadcast in other countries, recently in Brazil. Capetillo has received multiple messages from his fans, so these days he took the time to respond to the many expressions of affection through his Instagram account.

Eduardo recalled that at the same time that the telenovela was broadcast, he married the actress Biby Gaytán and expressed in a video all the emotion and joy he feels at having been part of that production that continues to be liked by the public to this day. .

It is a great satisfaction to know that ‘Marimar’ is being broadcast once again in your country and it fills me with joy to know that once again it is being received with such affection. For me that is the culmination of my work, that one of the productions in which I have participated gives you as much satisfaction as the audience.

After the success of ‘Marimar’, ‘Alcanzar una Estrella’, ‘Camila’ and other projects he carried out on television, the former Timbiriche focused one hundred percent on his family. In fact, it was until last July, when after 8 years of being absent from soap operas, he announced his return to acting in the Netflix series, "Where There Was Fire" alongside Itatí Cantoral.

The 51-year-old also a singer, dedicated himself for almost 10 years to the family he formed with the actress, dancer and singer Biby Gaytán, with whom he had five children, Eduardo, 27, Ana Paula, 24, Alejandra, 22, Daniel and Manuel, 7 years old. At his ranch in Ocoyoacan, State of Mexico.
