It was not an easy pregnancy for Marysol Sosa , who suffered from gestational diabetes during her pregnancy, yet she is happy that everything went very well. And today she is the mother of the first male grandson of the legend of the romantic song, the late José José.

The baby was born prematurely, due to the same circumstances that Marysol Sosa was going through in that process of gestational diabetes. She and her husband are very happy to know that everything turned out better than they expected.

The baby they call José Patricio came into this world on May 8 , his mother, still young at 38, is the daughter of José José. José Patricio was born healthy and very strong, his mother assured him in an interview with TVNotas magazine.

“The truth is, it was all very surprising, but thank God everything went well and the baby is already with us. I’m a little sore because it was a C-section, but here we are." This was what the daughter of José José Marisol Sosa declared.

According to information provided by Marysol, she was expecting her baby at the end of May, but the plans were changed. "It’s that I developed gestational diabetes, they detected it in April and first they gave me a change in diet and a pill to control everything, that’s how I was for the last 15 days, and when I went back for a check-up, my sugar levels hadn’t dropped as the doctors wanted.

So in the last ultrasound they did to me, I had already turned eight months old, I was at 36 weeks, but the good thing is that the baby was two weeks early, so they decided it would be better for him to come into the world, and look at us, we are happy three".

As for gestational diabetes, she said that she did not feel anything, that it was through some routine tests that she underwent and that is where diabetes was detected.

"I didn’t feel anything, I felt fine. In the last tests they told me that the baby was too big, they asked me if they had done glucose tests, I did them and it turned out that I had diabetes. They gave me medicine, a more specific and special diet, in fact, I turned to a nutritionist”.

In order to have a good diet, her nutritionist removed unnecessary carbohydrates and sugars, and added more fruits and vegetables. She argues that despite diabetes she had a beautiful pregnancy, she always kept herself well cared for, especially with food.

The daughter of José José Marysol Sosa, mentions that diabetes possibly came from the scare and all the conflicting emotions that she experienced when her father died and that she had to move to Miami pregnant.

“That’s right, as we well know, I had to fly to Miami and live through this whole situation of my father’s death, already pregnant, something we didn’t know in those days. Later, this pandemic situation also caught us by surprise, so all this could have had an influence.”

For now, joy comes to the life of Marysol, who has given birth to a beautiful baby, José José’s first male grandchild.
