Laura is accused of moral damage, defamation, harassment, discrimination and threats. Irina Baeva and Gabriel Soto filed a lawsuit and ratified it on August 17 at the CDMX Attorney General’s Office.

Yesterday Laura Bozzo had an appointment at the Prosecutor’s Office. And as always, her characteristic attitude of the Peruvian woman mentioned that they only waste the authorities’ time because supposedly the evidence is not enough.

"The lawsuit is based on the capsule of ‘Laura Opina’ from ‘El Gordo y la Flaca’ from Univisión, those are the evidence they present and that was a personal opinion, and in our country, in Mexico, there is no crime of opinion, "Laura told the media.

"There is no proof … I came to give my statements regarding that lawsuit by Mr. Soto and Mrs. Irina Baeva, at my request I wanted to exercise my personal defense to explain my rights."

According to the statements that Laura’s lawyer highlights, there are no grounds because Irina Baeva and Gabriel Soto made their lives public and that Laura is backed by opinion and journalism rights.

Laura says the Mexican authorities are just wasting their time.

"Throughout my life I have dedicated myself to the defense of women, for 30 years of my life I have worked. I honestly cannot be accused of discriminating or attacking for an opinion I gave. I am not forbidden to speak about them, just now I’m not interested in them. I’m not going to waste any more time on these kinds of issues. "
