Yolanda Saldivar killed singer Selena Quintanilla on March 3, 1995, after an argument, Yolanda mercilessly drew a gun and coldly shot what she considered her best friend.
“We both argued because I wanted to stop working for her. I gave him everything I had, the cell phone and the bank documents while we fought ”.
That was what Selena’s killer declared to the authorities. Yolanda’s punishment? To be imprisoned for the rest of her life in the Mountain View Women’s Unit in the state of Texas.

Yolanda Saldivar did not rule out the possibility of filing an appeal and she did, her argument being that she was in very poor health, however they had no mercy for her and her request was rejected.
