With regard to unstable self-esteem, it is conditioned by external factors, that is, it does not depend on the person all the time, their way of feeling or seeing themselves, sometimes external agents cause it to be influenced.
One of the most common characteristics is that low levels of self-esteem rise in the face of successes or achievements, however, as soon as the emotion that all this represents ends, self-esteem drops again.
Although the person manages to feel good in most of the times and episodes of his life, his personality becomes quite unstable and vulnerable to any type of event.
In short, the self-esteem of these people improves when they are within important moments and feel that things are going well in their lives. Being a temporary event, it cannot be considered as "high" because it will drop at any moment.
